Centable is a read-only reconciliation auditor that checks whether every Shopify Payments payout ties out, to the penny, to your accounting ledger in Xero. It cannot create, edit, or delete anything in your Shopify store or your accounting system.

Information we access

• Shopify (read-only): Shopify Payments payouts and balance transactions (read_shopify_payments_payouts, read_shopify_payments_accounts). We do not request access to orders, customers, or products.
• Xero (read-only), if you connect it: bank transactions and the chart of accounts, via OAuth (accounting.banktransactions.read, accounting.settings.read). No write scopes are ever requested.

Information we store

• Your Xero OAuth tokens, encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM).
• Payout and reconciliation data, associated with your store domain — not with individual customers.
• No customer personal data. Reconciliation works on payout totals and ledger entries; Centable does not collect or store your customers' personal information.

How we use it

Solely to compute and display your payout reconciliation. We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI or machine-learning models.

Third parties

We exchange data only with the services you connect — Shopify and Xero — and our hosting/database provider used to run Centable. Each processes data under its own terms.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data only while your store has Centable installed. When you uninstall the app, disconnect Xero, or a Shopify shop/redact request is received, we delete the store's stored data and tokens. We honor GDPR data-subject requests (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact); since we hold no customer personal data, customer requests have nothing to return or erase.

Security

Accounting tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Centable is read-only, so it cannot alter your books.
